SGI and the Saskatchewan Roughriders have teamed up to create a special Roughrider Licence Plate in celebration of the team's 100th anniversay. However, Rider Plates will continue to be available after 2010.

The cost to purchase a Rider Plate is:
$50.00 + GST for a single regular series Rider Plate for display on the rear of your vehicle.

$20.00 + GST for a duplicate of the same Rider Plate to display on the front of your vehicle.

You can also get Special order Rider Plates and choose your own slogan or transfer an existing slogan to a Rider Plate providing that the slogan is 5 characters or less.

The cost to move your existing PLP slogan to your Rider Plate is $50.00 + GST, plus $20.00 for the plate replacement.

The cost to request a new PLP slogan for your Rider Plate is $75.00, plus the Rider Plate fee of $50.00, for a total of $125.00 + GST.

When you order your Rider Plate, you can request a duplicate plate to display on the front of your vehicle. The fee is $20.00 + GST.
Rider Plate Display

The RIder Plate is a single, official Saskatchewan licence plate to be displayed on the rear of the vehicle. The initial production of Rider Plates will have an R followed by 4 numbers, starting with R0000.

You cannot display other Saskatchewan plates having a different plate number or background design on the front of your vehicle while displaying a Rider Plate on the rear. This includes personalized licence plates, veteran plates or regular series plates. This is to allow law enforcement to properly indentify a vehicle.
